Alan Pohlman Feedyard Foreman joined the feedyard in 1981 as a pen rider, checking cattle health and gaining experience treating hospital cattle. In 1991 he asked for more challenge, expressing a desire to learn the aspects of 'calling feed'. Shortly thereafter, we dramatically revised the feed management program, which required Alan's trait of commitment. He developed and refined the feeding program to become recognized as an impressive ingredient of our performance reputation. In the summer of 2001, we asked Alan to assume the new role of Yard Foreman. His foundation in Animal Health and his talents in Feed Management made him the obvious leader to manage daily feedyard operations of Barton County Feeders. |
